We worked in partnership with Oculus to develop a unique light effect that we call Oculus Blue — a stunning signature color that indicates an Oculus Ready PC from ASUS or ROG. There’s no overlooking Oculus Blue illumination, and there’s no mistaking that it means you’re using an Oculus Ready PC!

* GR8 II Oculus Blue lighting is not enabled by default. It is enabled via the ASUS Aura app.

ROG worked with Oculus to create strict testing procedures and environments to ensure that you get the very best VR experience. Here’s a quick look at how our gaming PCs earn Oculus Ready certification.

Preparation checklist

Every Oculus Ready system goes through a set of preliminary tests to determine that software settings are configured correctly, updates are working properly, and hardware is responding accordingly. Oculus ensures that your out-of-the-box experience propels you into VR — effortlessly and painlessly!

Functional Test Coverage

Applications rated in low, medium and high intensity are rigorously tested for an average of 30 minutes, ensuring that the frame rates meet an optimal level, to give you an optimal experience. Oculus has determined that 90 fps is absolutely critical for a comfortable and immersive VR experience, and each Oculus Ready system must prove its ability to maintain this 90 fps standard.

Reliability and performance tests

All relevant hardware is put through 17 rigorous performance and reliability tests to ensure the system is fully battle-tested. This includes a 72-hour application stress test, and the repeated swapping of hardware ports to ensure connectivity and reliability.
