Huawei is currently the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. This China-based company enjoyed great success last year thanks to a number of really compelling products they’ve released, like the Nexus 6P, Mate 8 and the Android Wear-powered Huawei Watch. Huawei has managed to sell over 100 million devices in 2015, which has been confirmed by the company, and some reports claim they hit the 109 million mark.
That being said, Huawei has unveiled their Mate 8 phablet at the end of last year in China, and has re-introduced it in Las Vegas during CES earlier this month to the general public. The Mate 8 is truly a powerhouse handset, no matter which way you look at it, and the company has announced Huawei Mate 8 Supreme Edition in China earlier today. Now, this might sound like a separate variant fo the handset or something, but it’s not, it’s actually a bundle of products. The Huawei Mate 8 Supreme Edition costs 6,888 Yuan ($1,046) in China, and it includes the highest end Mate 8 handset (4GB of RAM & 128GB of internal storage), the Huawei Watch and some smartphone accessories, as you can see in the images down below. This bundle is not exactly cheap, it costs a whopping $1,046, but Huawei did include two premium products in this package.
The Huawei Mate 8 (included in this bundle) features a 6-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Kirin 950 64-bit octa-core SoC, which is actually Huawei’s very own processor. The 16-megapixel OIS camera (f/2.0 aperture, PDAF) is included on the back of the Mate 8, and an 8-megapixel shooter (f/2.4 aperture) is available up front. The 4,000mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package, and the phone ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed, while the company’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 4.0 user interface is available on top of Google’s operating system. The Mate 8 measures 157.1 x 80.6 x 7.9mm, while it weighs 185 grams. The Huawei Watch, on the other hand, offers a metallic build, just like the Mate 8, and it sports a 1.4-inch 400 x 400 circular AMOLED display, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 SoC fuels this watch, and the device measures 42 x 42 x 11.3mm.
