NVIDIA is allegedly working on a new GTX 950 model in order to replace GM107-based GTX 750.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 SE / 950 LP
Even though Pascal launch is just few months ahead, NVIDIA is still planning to update its GeForce 900 stack with yet another Maxwell 2.0 model. We are talking about GTX x50 segment, where GTX 750 (Ti) cards released just 2 years ago brought a massive upgrade in power efficiency.
While GeForce GTX 950 launched in August 2015 replaced GTX 750 Ti, the non-Ti model with 512 CUDA was still not replaced by anything as efficient and as cheap.
GeForce GTX 950 SE or LP (like we’ve heard) would allegedly feature 640 CUDA cores and likely higher clocks than GTX 750. NVIDIA is definitely trying to keep similar power requirements so anything between 80W to 60W is possible.
According to Expreview GeForce GTX 950SE/LP would arrive next month, although no specific date was given.
