Letv has recently rebranded to LeEco, and aside from that, this company has also introduced the world’s first Snapdragon 820-powered smartphone, the Le Max Pro. This phablet has been introduced during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas last month, but it’s not available just yet. Well, that might change rather soon, especially if the recently surfaced LeEco teaser is to be believed, read on.
As many of you know, Xiaomi will introduce the Snapdragon 820-powered Mi 5 flagship on February 24th both in Beijing and Barcelona. The LeEco Le Max Pro has been introduced as the world’s first Snapdragon 820-powered device, and the company intends to reach the market first as well. The company’s recently surface poster actually teases February 22nd launch date, and interestingly enough, LeEco also mentions February 24th in the poster, and there’s also the ‘First’ caption in there. This teaser is rather obviously aimed at Xiaomi and their Mi 5 announcement, while it is also a confirmation that LeEco’s flagship phablet will be available for purchase soon. We still don’t have any specific info, but judging by this teaser, the Le Max Pro will be available for purchase starting February 22nd in China.
The Le Max Pro features a 6.33-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 4GB of RAM and 32, 64 or 128GB of internal storage. This handset is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 SoC, along with an Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. The 21-megapixel snapper is placed on the back of the Le Max Pro, and a 3,400mAh battery can be found on the inside. The Type-C USB port is placed on the bottom of this device, while Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes out of the box here with LeEco’s EUI installed on top of it. The LeEco Le Max Pro is made out of metal, and it sports a fingerprint scanner below the rear-facing camera sensor. There you have it, it seems like this device will become available really soon, even before Xiaomi gets to introduce the Mi 5. The phablet will, almost certainly, going to become available in China first, and we’ll see what happens after that.
