Xiaomi has been really busy lately. The company has introduced their new flagship smartphone, the Mi 5, last month, and it seems like we’ll see plenty more devices coming soon. Xiaomi has been founded on April 6th back in 2010, which means the company will turn 6 soon, and will probably introduce some additional hardware next month, though they are also holding an event on March 29th. Now, the Mi Drone has been rumored for quite some time now, and we’ll probably get to see some of the company’s mid-range devices.

Now, some of you might recall that the reports stated Xiaomi is getting ready to launch their very own notebook in the second quarter of this year. Well, according to the newest info, the company has actually decided to postpone the launch altogether. According to sources from Taiwan-based supply chain makers, the company will introduce their first notebook in the second half of this year. They will begin volume production in May, and the laptop will hit the market in June at the earliest. Now, we’re not completely sure why did Xiaomi delay this launch, but this will certainly give them more time to prepare, organize after sales and what not. In fact, that might be the reason why it was postponed, but as I already mentioned, we cannot be sure of that. In addition to all this, the company will probably introduce only one variant of their notebook so soon, even though two were planned. The first Xiaomi-branded notebook is said to sport a 12.5-inch display, and it will be interesting to see whether it will run Windows or Android, the source claims it will ship with Windows 10, but we’re still not all that sure.

Now, we do know that Inventec is one of the companies in charge fo manufacturing Xiaomi’s notebook, this is the company which confirmed that Xiaomi is making their very own notebook a while back. In terms of specs, rumors said that it will ship with Intel’s i7 SoC and 8GB of RAM, take that info with a grain of salt though. One thing is for sure though, this notebook will be quite affordable compared to the competition, as Xiaomi’s products usually are.
