The professionally-focused MSI PS63 was developed in collaboration with Discovery Channel to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. This resulted in a particularly interesting business notebook with decent features.

The MSI Prestige PS63 Modern packs a 15.6-inch 1080p display with very thin edges into a compact housing. The screen should cover a particularly large color space (almost 100% sRGB). With a height of just 15.9 mm and a weight of 1.65 kg, the PS63 breaks no records, but the dark gray case with the blue accents looks chic.

Inside is a current Intel Core i7 processor and a GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q. It is a pity that no Turing card such as the RTX 2060 Max-Q is used here. This is probably due to the even lower power consumption of the older GPU which should thus increase the mobility of the notebook. There are also up to 32 GB DDR4-2400 RAM and up to two M.2 SSDs. The battery life should be up to 16 hours.

Also exciting never appears to be used cooling solution. MSI speaks of Cooler Boost 3 dual-fan cooling from a particularly quiet operation and refers to a "Quiet Mark" award (www.quietmark.com).

The PS63 offers a good selection of ports, in addition to USB-C and USB-A, the notebook also comes with HDMI and microSD. The pity is that no Thunderbolt 3 port is integrated, which would allow the use of external graphics cards or more complex docks.

The keyboard has a white backlight, and a fingerprint sensor is integrated in the glass trackpad. The notebook also has Quiet Mark certification, making it particularly quiet when working.
